Hotfix: Browser Enabled forms render as XML when "InfoPath, Web browser if InfoPath not available" is selected

Introduction

When using InfoPath Forms Services and selecting the option "InfoPath, Web browser when InfoPath is not available", the form is rendered as XML when opening the action in K2 Workspace and neither K2 for Visual Studio nor InfoPath is available.

Error Scenario Steps

Note: The steps below describe one scenario under which this error may occur. The steps below are simplified and not all the steps will be shown or described.
  1. Using the InfoPath Forms Services, create an InfoPath integrated process and select the option "InfoPath, Web browser if InfoPath not available"
  2. Start a new process and open the K2 Worklist item
  3. The form opens in Internet Explorer as an aspx page formatted as XML instead of rendering the form when neither K2 for Visual Studio nor InfoPath is available

Error Messages

The following error messages relate to this issue:
  • No Error Message : The InfoPath form does not render correctly in the Web browser when K2 for Visual Studio nor InfoPath is available

Error Resolution

This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
