When installing on a SharePoint Farm with multiple Web Front Ends, the option to configure the environment is available and selected by default. After the configuration has been completed, the “K2 for SharePoint – web designer.wsp” solution’s state may show as “Deploying”.

Deploy a solution in a SharePoint Farm with multiple Web Front Ends after upgrading to K2 4.5. K2 for SharePoint - Web Designer.wsp stays in a deploying state.

Error Resolution
To resolve the deployment status of the solution, the following options can be applied:
- Use the repair functionality of the K2 Configuration Analysis Tool to repair the component on each Web Front End
- The Analysis tool will only show a success once the last Web Front End is repaired.
- To perform this action manually, the following command needs to be run on each Web Front End: stsadm -o execadmsvcjobs
As far as the installer of K2 4.5 with KB001040 is concerned, the configuration will not be performed automatically by the installer for a SharePoint Farm with multiple Web Front Ends. A message is displayed in the K2 Configuration Analysis Tool to inform the user that he needs to open the “Activate All K2 Features and K2 Configuration Settings” page in order to configure the specified SharePoint Farm.
On Single Server SharePoint Farms, the option to configure the server will be available during setup, thus the message will not be displayed in the Configuration Analysis Tool.
