An AD User's name that is longer than 25 characters cannot be found using the K2 Workspace Search feature when entering more than 20 characters in the search box.

Error Scenario Steps

Note: The steps below describe one scenario under which this error may occur. The steps below are simplified and not all the steps will be shown or described.
  1. Create a user with a UPN (username@domain.com) that exceeds 25 characters in Active Directory (SAMAccountName is limited to 20 characters, but UPN has no limit)
  2. Open K2 Workspace
  3. Navigate to Management > Management Console > Workflow Server > Process Rights
  4. Perform a search for the User created in Step 1 entering more than 20 characters in the search box
  5. No data will be returned from the search

Error Resolution

This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
