When running a Yes/No filter on a GetList method in SharePoint, the SharePoint SmartObject Service Broker does not return a True value.

Error Scenario Steps

Note: The steps below describe one scenario under which this error may occur. The steps below are simplified and not all the steps will be shown or described.
  1. Use a field in a library or list in SharePoint
    1. Open SharePoint
    2. Open a document library
    3. Click on the Settings drop-down
    4. Select Document Library Settings
    5. In the Columns section, click on Create Column
    6. In the Name and Type section select the Yes/No check box
    7. Enter a name and click Ok
  2. Register the SharePoint SmartObject Service Instance
  3. Create a SmartObject with the GetList method
  4. Create a web page that will execute the GetList method with input properties so that filtering can be performed
  5. Create two items in the SharePoint Document Library
    1. One with a True value in the Yes/No property
    2. One with a False value in the Yes/No property
  6. Filter for a True value
  7. Filter for a False value
  8. It will only return a False value

Error Messages

The following error message relates to this issue in the KB Article:
  • No error message. A filter on Yes/No property will always return False

Error Resolution

This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
