When upgrading to K2 4.5 Update KB001290 and an existing K2 process (kprx) is opened in the K2 Designer for Visual Studio 2010 the K2 toolbox might not appear. Creating a new project works correctly and the toolbox appears as expected.
Perform the following steps to resolve the issues:
- Right - click on the project in Solution Explorer and select Properties
- If the Target Framework Version is set to one of the Client Profile .NET Frameworks as shown in the table below, change the value as indicated:

If Target Framework Version has the value as shown in the figure below:
Change the Target Framework Version to the value as shown in the figure below:
