“This form was created with a new version of the form template. InfoPath cannot find the new version. Do you want to open with the older version?”

 

Introduction  
The error message below is typically encountered when the local copy of the InfoPath form is different than the form published in Microsoft SharePoint. A local copy of the form is cached at the following location:

<:Documents and Settings<Username>Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftInfoPathFormCache1>

Error Message:

"This form was created with a new version of the form template. InfoPath cannot find the new version. Do you want to open with the older version?"           
   

To resolve the issue, follow the steps below :
  • Close the InfoPath document
  • Browse to: C:Documents and Settings<Username>Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftInfoPathFormCache1
  • Delete the content of this folder
  • Reopen the InfoPath document
