An AD User's name that is longer than 25 characters cannot be found using the K2 Workspace Search feature when entering more than 20 characters in the search box.
Error Scenario Steps
|Note: The steps below describe one scenario under which this error may occur. The steps below are simplified and not all the steps will be shown or described.|
- Create a user with a UPN (email@example.com) that exceeds 25 characters in Active Directory (SAMAccountName is limited to 20 characters, but UPN has no limit)
- Open K2 Workspace
- Navigate to Management > Management Console > Workflow Server > Process Rights
- Perform a search for the User created in Step 1 entering more than 20 characters in the search box
- No data will be returned from the search
This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
