Introduction

Issue 1:

When using minute values in the expected duration setting of an activity, the expected duration value of 1 minute is not saved into the project kprx file. Any other value is successfully saved and implemented.

Issue 2:

The expected duration for a process is stored as seconds in the K2 Server and in turn reflected as minutes in the worklist in K2 Workspace. The issue exists that the seconds' value stored in the server is not converted into minutes but rather display the same seconds value as minutes in the worklist. For example: 120 seconds is displayed as 120 minutes in the worklist instead of 2 minutes.

Issue 1: Error Scenario Steps

Note: The steps below describe one scenario under which this error may occur. The steps below are simplified and not all the steps will be shown or described.
  1. Set the expected duration of a process activity to one minute
  2. Finish the activity configuration
  3. Save the kprx, and then exit K2 Designer for Visual Studio
  4. Reopen the project with a new instance of K2 Designer for Visual Studio
  5. Open the krpx, then open the activity and you will see that the setting has gone back to zero minutes

Issue 2: Error Scenario Steps

  1. Set the expected duration of a process activity to 2 minutes
  2. Finish the activity configuration
  3. Save and deploy the kprx, and then exit K2 Designer for Visual Studio
  4. Open the worklist in K2 Workspace
  5. Check the flag next to the work item. The flag will be green as the expected duration of 2 minutes has not been reached
  6. After 2 minutes check the flag again as the color should have changed to red as the expected duration has been exceeded.
  7. The flag remains green after 2 minutes

Error Resolution

This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
