Introduction

When installing K2 blackpoint 0902 (4.9040.1.0) using Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) an error occurs when trying to activate the K2 Workflow Integration Content Type feature.

Error Scenario Steps

Note: The steps below describe one scenario under which this error may occur. The steps below are simplified and not all the steps will be shown or described.
  1. Install K2 blackpoint 0902 (4.9040.1.0) using WSS
  2. Click on the K2 for SharePoint tab
  3. Error occurs when trying to activate the K2 Workflow Integration Content Type feature.

Error Messages

The following error message relates to this issue:
Feature '77aaf8b1-b817-4904-b203-3d6119c05a28' could not be installed because the loading of event receiver assembly "Microsoft.Office.Workflow.Feature, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" failed: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.Workflow.Feature, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1. Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

This issue has been resolved in K2 blackpoint 0902 (4.9040.2.0), which is available from the portal: http://portal.k2.com/downloads/k2blackpoint/Default.aspx
