When executing asynchronous / synchronous IPC processes using K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.2.370) the parent processes starts, and completes the client event but does not continue on to the IPC event. An “Invalid archive type” error occurs when trying to access the IPC events.
Error Scenario Steps

- Create and start an asynchronous / synchronous IPC process.
- Start the K2 Server.
- An “Invalid archive type” error occurs when trying to access the IPC events.
The following error message relates to this issue:
- Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
