Hardware or software-based Network Load Balancers (NLB) allows multiple K2 Servers and/or Web Front End Servers to be exposed as a single logical system with a single point of entry. This KB describes K2's support policy for K2 software in environments that utilize network load balancing technologies and products.
Except as described in this article, K2 does not explicitly test or support K2 software running on specific network load balancing technologies, products or software. If you have Technical Support and Maintenance services from K2, K2 will investigate potential issues with K2 software running in load-balanced environments, provided technical requirements for the load-balanced environments are met.
K2 may require that customers replicate the issue on Windows Network Load Balancing to proceed with the investigation. This request to replicate issues on alternative load balancing is used to verify that the problem exists in the K2 software independent of the underlying platform. Where it is determined that the issue is not related to hardware load balancers, K2 software will be supported in a manner that is consistent with support provided when the software is on Windows Network Load Balancing.
