The K2 Server stops responding for several minutes while attempting to resolve Foreign Security Principals (Cross-Domain membership), causing other K2 components such as the K2 Worklist Web Part to fail.

Error Scenario

Note: The circumstances described in this article are one scenario under which this issue may or is known to occur. The description is intended to be specific to the scenario described and does not take into account all possible scenarios or circumstances.
SharePoint sites with the K2 Worklist web part added or K2 Workspace will intermittently stop responding and no new connections to the K2 blackpearl Server can be opened.

Error Messages

Occasionally, object reference errors will be logged in the AdumError.txt file.

Error Resolution

This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
