Introduction

The Process Instances report times out when trying to run the report from the Process Overview report. This only occurs when the process contains high volumes of process instances.

Error Scenario

  1. Open K2 Workspace > Reports > Process Overview
  2. Click on the Process Name to view the Process Instances report
  3. When the process contains high volumes of process instances the Process Instances report times out

Error Message

The following error message relates to this KB article:


An error has occurred during report processing. Query execution failed for data set {Data Set}. Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. Exception of type ‘SourceCode.Smartobjects.Client.SmartobjectException’ was thrown.

Error Resolution

This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
