While working with the SmartObject Management Server and a SQL  exception occurs such as an exception occurring when registering or refreshing the SmartObject service instances, a “Method not found” exception is displayed.

Error Scenario

Note: The circumstances described in this article are one scenario under which this issue may, or is known to occur. The description is intended to be specific to the scenario described and does not take into account all possible scenarios or circumstances.

When a SQL Exception error occurs the following method not found exception is displayed: “SmartObject Server Exception: Method not found: 'Boolean SourceCode.Logging.Logger.get_ToLogFile()'”

Examples of such SQL Exceptions are when the SQL Server hosting the K2 databases is offline, or if the K2SmartBroker database has been renamed using a different method other than the K2 installer.

Error Resolution

This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
