Introduction

In K2 Workspace an “Unable to connect to server on port 5252” error occurs on the final page of the Out-of-Office setup when users attempt to set their Out of Office. This error occurs when K2 blackpearl is configured to use non-default port numbers. In addition to this, when the port number is set to a value higher than 32 768, an exception will be thrown.

Error Scenario

Note:The circumstances described in this article are one scenario under which this issue may, or is known to occur. The description is intended to be specific to the scenario described and does not take into account all possible scenarios or circumstances.
  1. Re-configure your environment to use port 54321 for the K2 Server and port 4040 for the K2 Host Server.
  2. After the ports have been set, attempt to configure Out-of-Office for any user.
  3. An error message stating “Unable to connect to server on port 5252” will be displayed on the final page of the Out-of-Office setup.

Error Resolution

This Hotfix is contained within the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 Update. Install the update package to resolve the error.
