Workaround

When the following conditions are met:

  • K2 blackpearl runs in a distributed environment
  • K2 blackpearl Server runs in Console Mode
  • The K2 blackpearl Server Service account is not a member of the local administrators group

The following needs to be set:

  1. Browse to Administrative tools
  2. Open Local Security Policies
  3. Expand Local Policies
  4. Click on User Rights Assignment
  5. In the right pane double click Impersonate a client after authentication
  6. Click Add User or Group
  7. Enter the Service Account
  8. Click OK
  9. Click OK

If the server has UAC installed (Windows Server 2008) and all of the following conditions are met:

  • K2 blackpearl Server runs in Console Mode
  • UAC installed and enabled

A prompt will popup on running K2HostServer.  The prompt will request the administrator details to be entered, do not enter the administrator details but instead enter the details of the K2 Service Account.
