An issue was detected in K2 4.6 for both K2 blackpearl and K2 blackpoint for which there is a resolution.

Consider the following scenario: You install K2 4.6 on a server that has not previously had K2 installed. You create new categories to store objects, such as SmartObjects and workflows. You then, at a later time, run K2 Setup Manager and select Repair or Configure. When completed, the categories you created are missing.

Note: This only applies to new installations of K2 4.6 and not to upgrades from a prior minor release. If you have already encountered this issue, please contact K2 Support.

To eliminate this issue, follow these steps on every server that has the K2 Server component installed:

  1. Download and Extract the Product.Config file for your product from the section on the right.
  2. Copy the Product.config file to the Setup folder for your K2 installation. For example, C:\Program Files (x86)\K2 blackpearl\Setup.
