Introduction

When opening an InfoPath K2 Worklist item from either Workspace>K2 Worklist or Process Portal>K2 Worklist, a double prompt occurs before the InfoPath form opens.  This will only occur when using Internet Explorer 9.  This is due to Internet Explorer 9 having a default Download Manager which intercepts the InfoPath document download upon opening the InfoPath form from K2 Worklist.  

Error Scenario

  1. Create an InfoPath Integrated process from any of the K2 Designers.
  2. Start an instance of the process.
  3. Open the worklist item from either Workspace>K2 Worklist or Process Portal>K2 Worklist.

Error Message

 A message similar to the one in the image below will prompt twice when opening an InfoPath K2 Worklist item.

Resolution

Adding the K2 Workspace URL to the Internet Explorer trusted sites will resolve the issue when opening a K2 Worklist item from Workspace>K2 Worklist.

Adding the SharePoint URL where K2 Process Portal resides to the Internet Explorer trusted sites will resolve the issue when opening a K2 Worklist item from Process Portal>K2 Worklist.
