Introduction
In a distributed environment, where the SmartForms runtime site is installed but no K2 Designer site is installed, you are not prompted for a SmartForms license key when installing a new instance of K2 4.7. After installation, when you try to deploy a package to the runtime site, an error occurs.
Error Message
Error message: ‘Insufficient license type. Server does not have a SmartForms Designer License’.
Workaround
- To resolve the issue, add your SmartForms license key either through the K2 Management site or through Workspace.
- Restart the K2 Service.
- Redeploy the package.
