Known Issues: Unable to Deploy a K2 Package on a SmartForms Runtime Only site after installing K2 4.7

Introduction
In a distributed environment, where the SmartForms runtime site is installed but no K2 Designer site is installed, you are not prompted for a SmartForms license key when installing a new instance of K2 4.7. After installation, when you try to deploy a package to the runtime site, an error occurs.     
 

 

Error Message
Error message: ‘Insufficient license type.  Server does not have a SmartForms Designer License’.

Workaround

  1. To resolve the issue, add your SmartForms license key either through the K2 Management site or through Workspace.
  2. Restart the K2 Service.
  3. Redeploy the package.
