Issue Description

When executing an Endpoint Webservice, an error occurs intermittently.

Error Message

The error message states: “An object reference not set to an instance of an object”

Resolution

  1. Ensure you have K2 4.7 installed.
  2. Download and Install the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update from K2 Partner and Customer Portal.
  3. Get the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update FP18 from Regional Support.
  4. Install the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update FP18 to apply the fix.

Considerations

If the Endpoint Webservice execution fails, due to the service busy updating or being refreshed, a more descriptive error will now be presented. The new error message states: “The running instance of {name of service instance} executing service object {SO name}, {method name} method has gone into a broken state, the K2 server will need to be restarted or the service instance refreshed”.
