Code Fix: Users in the Everyone K2 role are unable to start a workflow manually

Issue Description

When you want to start a K2 workflow manually from SharePoint, with a user that is a member of the Everyone role, the workflow is not triggered and an error is displayed.

Error Message

The following error occurs: “Current Logged in user does not have rights to start the workflow”.

Resolution

  1. Ensure you have K2 Five (5.1) installed.
  2. Get the K2 Five (5.1) FP11 from Regional Support.
  3. Install the K2 Five (5.1) FP11 to apply the fix.
  4. It is recommended to refresh the browser cache.
  5. You should now be able to start a K2 workflow manually with any user that is a member in the Everyone role.
