Issue

A P&D Create Package Validation error appears on ListSettings:

Unable to validate that a ListSetting's List exists on the SharePoint Server

All errors point to the list/site not existing.

Examples:
Unable to validate that a ListSetting's List exists on the SharePoint Server. List Name: <LIST NAME>, List Id: <LISTID>, Site: https://mysite.domain.com/teams/sitecol
'List (<LIST NAME>)' ListSetting is referencing the '<RELATIVE PATH URL>' Site that could not be found.
'List (<LIST NAME>)' ListSetting is referencing the '<LIST NAME>' List that could not be found.

Symptoms

Validation errors appear when creating a Package.

 

Troubleshooting Steps

In this case the validation errors relate to site access. The user creating the package, although having all the rights to create a package, doesn’t have access to the site itself.

Ensure the user creating the package can browse the target site.

There might be various reasons for the same validation errors that doesn't relate to site access. If this article doesn't resolve the issue, additional investigation is required.
