SAP is ending support for the classic RFC library (librfc32.dll) on March 31, 2016. This RFC library is used by K2 Connect for SAP to integrate with SAP BAPIs. We have an update for K2 connect now available for download, which replaces the classic RFC integration with the new NetWeaver RFC library. We have also added support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 and Windows 10 with this release.
For a detailed list of fixes and new features, please review the Release Notes: K2 connect 4.6.11 Release Notes (KB000860).
If you have not yet installed K2 connect 4.6.11 or you have already upgraded to K2 connect 4.6.11, be sure to download the latest installer and follow the below steps.
- The NetWeaver RFC library must be obtained from http://service.sap.com (login required). Once downloaded, extract the library and copy the DLLs to the appropriate location:
> For 32-bit machines - C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
> For 64-bit machines - Copy the x64 SAP Netweaver RFC Libraries to the C:\Windows\System32 folder, and copy the x32 SAP Netweaver RFC Libraries to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
- Install the latest K2 connect for SAP release (4.10060.870.0)
- You will need to apply the K2 connect license key, but otherwise everything should work with the new NetWeaver integration.
As always, it is recommended that you install the latest release. To get the latest release and prerequisites, please visit the download pages on the K2 Partner and Customer Portal.
