How To: Use a Rule to Open a Tab

In this example we use a control on a form to open a tab on the same form. The canvas of the tab as shown in the image below is referred to as a panel in the Rule Designer. Follow the steps below to configure the rule:

1. Create a form with two tabs.
2. Add a Button control to the form.
   
3. Add the rule as shown below. Select the tab that should open when the button is clicked.
