This article was created in response to a support issue logged with K2. The content may include typographical errors and may be revised at any time without notice. This article is not considered official documentation for K2 software and is provided "as is" with no warranties.

Issue

Before deploying a package from Source to Target, you will receive a "Missing Reference" error message on SharePoint artifacts. When configuring them to existing artifacts, you will see the following:

     [+] /SiteCollection1

     [+] /SiteCollection2

     [+] /SiteCollection3

     [+] /SiteCollection4"

If you expand any of the SiteCollections, nothing happens.

Symptoms

The issue will be present on the Package and Deployment screens on the Web UI or in Package and Deployment MMC.

You will be unable to select the managed path's subsites to deploy to.

One possible reason could be that K2 has not been activated on that Site Collections Sub Site.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. On the Site Collection with the issue, go to the Site Contents
  2. Open K2 Blackpearl for SharePoint
  3. On the Administration / General Section, click on "Activate Site Collection."
