Issue

Significant delays on 'Default Client Event' task creation and task emails.

Symptoms

The client is experiencing delays when K2 tries to create worklist tasks and send the task email. It can take up to 35 minutes, but only on the production environment. The process works fine on DEV and UAT. The tasks are created within a child process that is started in an IPC event. These are defined to start asynchronously.

Troubleshooting Steps

The issue is related to start rules inside of the workflow, which causes delays if the process is started outside of the defined office hours.

Option 1: Extend working hours

Option 2: Remove start rules
