Issue

You may experience a problem when trying to install the latest CU for May after upgrading from 4.6.6 >>> 4.6.10 >>> to the latest version of K2 Blackpearl 4.7, (latest version 3).

When you run the Cumulative Update you get the following error: K2 (4.12165.1595.0) detected, this update is intended for K2 (4.16060.2000.0)

Symptoms

This error occurs when upgrading from 4.6.6 to 4.6.10 to 4.7.

This is only seen when applying the latest CU for May.

Resolution

A script can be obtained from K2 Support that will remove the old registry keys from the system and allow you to run the CU successfully.
