Issue

The Installer is stuck waiting for another server to complete installation, although it's done already.

Symptoms

Run the K2 blackpearl Setup Manager and select the option to update the server license for the server and then do the same for K2 SmartForms. Both complete successfully and the license for K2 blackpearl and K2 SmartForms were updated for that server.

 

After finishing the one server, move to the next. On the next server the setup manager is stuck saying that it is waiting for the install to finish on the server that was installed first.

 

The first server did appear to install successfully.

Troubleshooting Steps

To resolve this issue:

 

1. Check the [K2].[HostServer].[Configuration] table and look for a Variable named SERVER_BUSY

2. Remove the value

3. Rerun the setup manager.

In my case it was the DB_BUSY Variable that needed cleaning so check them all when this happens.
