Issue

Errors are raised during deployment indicating that the source list/Lib does not contain the required fields. The error raised is "Inconsistency detected between Smartobject X and Service Object X during the loading of the Smartobject definition Method: "CreateListItem" Item not found. We have had this error raised multiple times before but the difference to look out for is in the referred method.

Symptoms

This issue is caused by the list or library being restored from a template between the environments and when saving a list/Lib as a template, advanced settings are not enabled and need to be manually selected.

Troubleshooting Steps

In this scenario the issue was due to the "Allow management of content types" option not being selected on the restored list on the target environment.
