Issue

Process fails on a SmartObject Event with the error below:

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond.

Symptoms

The SmartObject executes successfully on the SmartObject Service Tester but fails when called from a process.

Troubleshooting Steps

Ensure that the fields in the String Table of the process point to the correct environment. This may be verified from the K2 Management Site > Workflow Server > String Table. Kindly refer to our documentation on String Tables for further details.
