Unable to expand Service Object category when SharePoint List or Library name contains forward slash

This article was created in response to a support issue logged with K2. The content may include typographical errors and may be revised at any time without notice. This article is not considered official documentation for K2 software and is provided "as is" with no warranties.

When a SharePoint List or Library name contains a forward slash, the category for the Service Object does not expand to allow for mapping of a method.

This behavior is reproducible when the list or library is created with a forward slash in the name:

As the Service Object surfaced is a K2 artifact, the following special characters are not allowed and should be avoided:

&!@#$%^&*()+=-[]\\\';,./{}|\":<>?_~ ≈≠=≤≥≤<>≮≯∷±+-×÷∫∮∝∧∨∑∏∪∩∈∵∴⊥∥∠⌒⊙≌∽√ ┼┽┾┿╀╁╂╃┬┭┮┯┰┰┱┱┲┳├┝┞┟┠┡┢┣┍┎┏┐┑┒┓┒─┄ §№☆★○●◎◇◆□℃‰€■△▲※→←↑↓〓¤°#&@\︿_ ̄―♂♀ 〖〗【】[]{}《》「」『』々‖…—•ˉ〃 ㄅㄉˇˋㄓˊˊ˙˙ㄚㄞㄢㄆㄊㄍㄐㄔㄗㄧㄛㄟㄣㄇㄋㄎㄑㄕㄘㄨㄜㄠㄈㄌㄏㄒㄖㄙㄩㄝㄡㄥ

The forward slash can be deleted and the SmartObject regenerated if you wish to make use of the ServiceObject in a custom SmartObject/method.
