Issue

Users are unable to access the DEV server from the desktop Visual Studio over ports 5555 and 5252, but are able to access the PROD server from the desktop Visual Studio over ports 5555 and 5252.

When connecting to the DEV server I can access the PROD server over ports 5555 and 5252. It's not possible to access the DEV server from the PROD server over 5555/5252. When connecting to the DEV server it's possible to connect to the DEV server over port 5555 and 5252. Both DEV and PROD are on the same Vlan, so no firewall restrictions are applicable.

Symptoms

Users are unable to connect to the DEV server from the desktop Visual Studio over ports 5555 and 5252.

Troubleshooting Steps

After creating two “K2Hostserver” rules on the K2 Dev Server, traffic is blocked in all K2 connection ports. Disable the created rule resolved the issue which will allow you to access the relevant ports.
