Issue


The K2 Language Pack 4.13500.0.0.3 (4.7) hangs on the Installer:

Logged Error: Target did not complete successfully: StartServiceTQNBE

Symptoms


When performing installation/deinstallation of the K2 Language Pack 4.13500.0.0.3 on the K2 Server with a developer license, the process gets stuck at the StartServiceTQNBE Step.

Resolution


The installation works as expected after stopping the installer and restarting the service.

 


It will show an undescriptive error message when trying to start the K2 service in service mode which is not possible with a development license.


 


An exception occurred whilst getting the license type from the DB:
"System.InvalidOperationException: Sequence contains no matching element
   at System.Linq.Enumerable.First[TSource](IEnumerable`1 source, Func`2 predicate)
   at SourceCode.Install.Package.Actions.StartService.Execute(ITarget target)"


 


Workaround:


To resolve this, start the K2 Service manually, as well as the Application Pool for K2 Blackpearl and K2 SmartForm.
