Troubleshooting Steps

Go to services on the machine and take a look at the K2 blackpearl Server properties for the K2 Service.

Under the heading: Path to Executable, verify that this path is set to: "{Install drive}:Program Files (x86)K2 blackpearlHost ServerBinK2HostServer.exe /S"

If the path is missing the "/S", this will cause the service to fail to start.
To resolve this, Powershell or REGEDIT can be used to update the binary path to the correct value.  Please see: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7190480/modifying-the-path-to-executable-of-a-windows-service
