Unable to start K2 Service

You cannot start the K2 Service.


You are unable to start K2 Service and the following error appears:

"Windows could not start the K2 blackpearl Server service on Local Computer
Error2: The system cannot find the file specified."


Troubleshooting Steps

Go to services on the machine and take a look at the K2 blackpearl Server properties for the K2 Service.

Under the heading: Path to Executable, verify that this path is set to: "{Install drive}:\Program Files (x86)\K2 blackpearl\Host Server\Bin\K2HostServer.exe /S"


If the path is missing the "/S", this will cause the service to fail to start.
