Issue

You may encounter an error when sending a meeting request from an Exchange Event:

Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Please make sure the K2 service account has impersonation rights in Exchange. The account does not have permission to impersonate the requested user.

Symptoms

The K2 service account is able to access the EWS URL:  (https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx) from the K2 server.

Troubleshooting Steps

In the Office 365 Admin Portal, please create the ApplicationImpersonation admin role if it does not exist and add the Exchange Online account as a member of the role.
