"Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error on SmartObject Service Tester

You may run into this issue when left or right clicking the SQL Service Service Instance from the SmartObject Service Tester and the following error may appear:

Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.

This issue could be caused by the K2 Service Account not having permissions to see any object in that database.

Troubleshooting Steps

To resolve the issue, correct the permission in SQL to allow the K2 Service Account to see objects in the database.
