When trying to expand an Item Reference in K2 Cloud, the reference will not expand. This seems to be true for SharePoint SmartObjects.
Apply K2 Cloud Update 7 Fix Pack 12 or later
and re-run the Registration Wizard with the Tenant Admin account, as well as re-activating the site. This should resolve the issue. If the issue is still seen, please log a Support ticket and reference this KB.
