Issue

K2 Blackpearl - March Cumulative update fails with an error:

Script execute failed: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies.

The system cannot find the file specified. File name: 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' at SourceCode.Install.SQL.DBQuery.ExecuteTransactionalScript(String scriptFile, String connectionString) at SourceCode.Install.Package.Actions.ExecuteSqlScript.Execute(ITarget target)

Symptoms

The Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Objects aren't installed on the K2 Environment and this version 10.0.0.0 does not exist in the GAC after reviewing this on the environment.

Resolution

To correct this behaviour
Install the missing components ‘Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Objects Feature Pack’ on the environment and test the installer again. The installer should complete as expected.
