Issue

Internet Explorer has some special settings that can cause issues with iFrames (Workspace work items, Forms being displayed in SharePoint).

Microsoft Edge should not see this issue.

Symptoms

When trying to open a work item in Workspace or view a form in SharePoint the following error is seen:

This content cannot be displayed in a frame
To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. First, check your Internet Browser settings by going to Internet Settings in IE. Navigate to Security. Make sure that your K2 Website is in Trusted Sites. If you are using K2 Cloud, make sure that both your Vanity URL and your KUID URL (.onK2.com and your KUID which is a 7 digit identifier for your environment) are added to browser settings.
  2. Also, to see if this is the issue, feel free to turn off Protected Mode for the Internet Zone.
  3. Now you may need to do this for all users in your company, so they do not need to do it individually and to make sure it is not overwritten by Group Policy. You can do this by forcing an update to the Group Policy. The following article goes into a little more detail. Microsoft Link
