Issue

When opening K2 Studio on a virtual machine with Remote Desktop, the icons are very large and the full text is not displayed.

Symptoms

When opening K2 Studio, the icons are very large and the full text does not display. This can occur when using a virtual machine (with Remote Desktop).

Troubleshooting Steps

Generally this type of issue only occurs when using a remote connection, not with the direct execution of K2 Studio.

There are two possible resolutions:

Option 1

If it is a remote session, please try to change the resolution in the "Display configuration" of the Remote Desktop Connection:

Try with "Full screen". If it doesn't work (whether you are using a remote connection or not), do the following:

In your local computer, go to the display settings and verify that the "Change the size of the Text, apps, and other items" is set to 100%. Read more about it here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-start/cannot-change-size-of-text-apps-and-other-items/32bcf575-37cf-4e77-a8be-ced7e1167f53

Option 2

In all cases, whether you are using a remote connection or not, please try the following:

Step 1: Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and tap Search. (If you're using a mouse, point to the top-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down and click Search.)

Step 2: In the Search box, type the name of the app (K2 studio).

Step 3: Select the apps' tile (swipe down on the tile or right-click on it). Tap or click Open file location to open File Explorer on the desktop.

Step 4: In File Explorer, tap and hold (or right-click) the apps' executable (.exe) file and select Properties.

Step 5: Select the Compatibility tab.

Step 6: In the Settings section, select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.

Step 7: Tap or click OK.

Step 8: Restart the app.
