Issue

After upgrading 4.16060.2000.1 to 4.16060.2000.3 we could no longer configure the server. The following error appears and it is not possible to progress with the setup manager:

"K2 blackpearl 4.16060.2000.2 installer does not support upgrading your version of K2 (4.16060.2000.3). Please see the release Notes for more information on K2 upgrade compatibility."

Symptoms

Running the Blackpearl installer from the original installation media or Start Menu, will show this message:

https://portal.k2.com//files/K2_upgrade_error~685c7318-30e9-4a25-893a-7458f16eadc4.png

This is a known issue.

Resolution

Please download the latest full installer (*.3) from: https://portal.k2.com/downloads/bp/

- Use the installer to run a config install of Blackpearl.

- This process will not overwrite the Feb CU changes.

If the issue persists, please log a support ticket and include this Knowledge article URL in the ticket description.
