Issue

When trying to create a K2 Application off a SharePoint Document Library that has some content types applied to it, the following error occurs: "Service Property Title does not exist in ServiceObject."

Symptoms

The issue is related to a known issue with Content Types and the Title field on the content type. If the Title Field on the Content Type is not hidden (Set to Optional or Required), it is not possible to create a SmartObject from this Library.

Resolution

Setting the Title Field on the content type to Hidden resolves the issue.

Complete the following steps:

1. Navigate to Library Settings

2. Select the Content Type (Document Set, etc.)

3. Select the Title field and set to Hidden.
