Symptoms

Unable to convert SmartForm to PDF and an error appears.

Troubleshooting Steps

To resolve the issue, kindly follow these steps:

1. From the location (C:Program Files (x86)K2 blackpearlHost ServerBin), check if the following assemblie(s) are missing:

  • epengine.dll
  • ephtmltopdf.dll

2. If any of the assemblies above do not exist, proceed to stop the K2 Blackpearl service.

3. Copy over the missing assemblie(s) from another environment (on the same K2 version) to the environment encountering the error.

To verify the latest Cumulative Update and Fix Pack applied on your environment , please run this query against the K2 DB:

SELECT * FROM [K2].[HostServer].[UpdateHistory]

4. Afterwards, restart the K2 Blackpearl service.
