Symptoms

After deployng a solution an error appears on the status of the deployment screen.

The result is that none of the SmartObjects are created and it also leaves the Forms, Views and Workflows dependent on these in a unusable state.

Troubleshooting Steps

In some cases it was found that the service instance needed for this solution was not on the target environment.

With the service instance not available, K2 will not be able to create SmartObjects linked to the required service instance. This will then leaves the dependent Forms, Views and Workflows in an unusable state as broken references will be present.

To resolve this issue, create the service instance on the target environment and then redeploy the solution. The solution should then be in a usable state and not raise any errors.
